What does the first appointment entail?

Your initial appointment’s main goal is to get a history on you. We will also go over what symptoms you are experiencing. We will discuss what medication may be appropriate for you & then devise a treatment plan for you. We will review: the amount of time for the next follow up, possible medication side effects, & other strategies to help improve your mood such as referral for psychotherapy.

How is a diagnosis made?

First, a detailed history is obtained.
We use the DSM 5 guidelines to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis along with your history.

How long are appointments?

A new patient appointment is an hour.
Follow up appointments are 20 minutes unless more time is needed.
